Copyright & Licensing Policy
Copyright & Licensing Policy
Dynamic Computing is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of authors while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research. This Copyright & Licensing Policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of authors, readers, and the journal regarding the publication, distribution, and reuse of published content.
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain the copyright to their published work. By submitting a manuscript to Dynamic Computing and upon acceptance for publication, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, archive, distribute, and make the article publicly available through its publishing platform.
Authors confirm that they hold the necessary rights to all content included in the manuscript and that publication of the work does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Licensing
Articles published in Dynamic Computing are openly accessible and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Licence, unless otherwise stated on the individual article.
The CC BY 4.0 Licence permits others to share and adapt the published work, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the source, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes made to the original work are indicated.
The applicable licence information will be clearly displayed on the published version of each article.
Author Rights
Authors retain the right to:
- Reuse their published work in future books, theses, dissertations, or educational materials.
- Deposit the published article in institutional or subject repositories.
- Share the published article through personal or institutional websites.
- Present the published work at conferences, seminars, and academic events.
- Distribute copies of the published article for research and educational purposes.
- Reuse and adapt their work in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons licence.
Rights Granted to the Journal
Authors grant Dynamic Computing the right to:
- Publish and archive the accepted and published article.
- Assign identifiers and bibliographic metadata.
- Distribute and preserve the published version.
- Promote the published article through indexing services, repositories, and academic databases.
- Maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Third-Party Material
If a manuscript contains copyrighted material such as figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, or extensive quotations obtained from other sources, authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions before submission where such permissions are required.
Appropriate acknowledgement and attribution must be included within the manuscript for third-party material.
Reuse of Published Articles
Readers may access, download, read, cite, share, and reuse published articles in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons licence and copyright provisions.
Any reuse must provide appropriate attribution to the original authors and Dynamic Computing, include a reference to the original publication, provide a link to the applicable licence, and clearly indicate whether changes have been made to the original work.
Permissions
Because articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 Licence, separate permission from the journal is generally not required for uses permitted by that licence, provided that the applicable attribution and licence conditions are satisfied.
Requests concerning uses outside the applicable licence terms may be directed to the Editorial Office for consideration.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
- The submitted manuscript is their original work.
- All third-party content has been used with appropriate permission where required.
- Proper acknowledgement is provided for copyrighted material.
- The manuscript does not infringe copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- They have the authority to grant the rights specified in this policy.
Copyright Infringement
If a copyright infringement claim is received, Dynamic Computing will investigate the matter promptly and fairly. Where infringement is confirmed, appropriate editorial action may include correction, removal or replacement of copyrighted material, publication of a notice, or retraction of the article where necessary.
Policy Updates
The Copyright & Licensing Policy may be updated periodically to reflect developments in copyright law, scholarly publishing practices, and journal policies. Updated versions will be published on the journal website.
